Kayak & Canoe Rentals on the Russian River

The years of expert training of King’s crew members provide for you and your friends and family a fun and positive experience of the Russian River.  The following provides information about what to expect on a kayak trip on the Russian River, in addition our services, with prices included and a small list of requirements of our customers.

Kayaking the Russian River

As the Russian River meanders through valleys of Sonoma Wine Country, it creates an ideal opportunity for kayakers of all levels. We offer many exciting paddling opportunities from guided trips to multi-day trips as well as self guided trips.  There’s also the option to pick up kayaks at our store and take them to a location of your choice.  See Trip Options below.

Self Guided Trips

Take a wonderful adventure down the Russian River on one of our self guided tours. We supply the boats, life vests, paddles, and
transportation.  Our transportation service will launch you on a down-stream trip on the river where you are likely to experience a fun (and easy) trip. These trips are perfect for kayakers of any level and are priced at a reasonable range for any budget. All kayak trips start out with basic boating instructions and the “dos and don’ts” of paddling the river.  Customers are also welcome to transport themselves to locations along the entire 100-mile length of the Russian River, Lake Sonoma, Bodega Bay and Tomales Bay.

Reservations are greatly appreciated but walk-ins are welcome!

Multi-day trips

Looking for a two-day trip?  Then look no further! We have a fantastic two-day, one-night kayak/camp trip. Great for the group that wants to spend more time on the water, and experience the beauty of the Jenner estuary.
This is a wonderful trip for anyone who wants to go through a multi-day and have the comforts of home. The overnight stay is at Casini Ranch Campground, located in the small town of Duncans Mills.  Casini Ranch is equipped with hot showers, restrooms, laundromat, and a general store. Downtown Duncans Mills has great restaurants for evening dining for those who want to experience the extra flavors of what the Russian River has to offer.

Reservations are required for Multi-Day Trips.

Guided Trips

If you’re not feeling comfortable treading water on your own or want to know the ins and outs of the river, then try our guided kayak tours. We offer several fun and exciting
trips to choose from. Our majestic river is lined with lush redwood trees and is home to a wide variety of wildlife. Our knowledgeable guides will discuss interesting historical facts about the Russian River. We recommend bringing a snack or lunch as there will be many opportunities to eat on one of the many beaches along the journey. Our guides are happy to help you in any way possible to make your trip a memory that will last forever.  All our guides are California Licensed, as well as First Aid & CPR certified.

Reservations are required for Guided Trips.
